NEW PATIENTS
Your First Dental Appointment
Please arrive a few minutes early for your first visit so you can complete the new patient paperwork and we can check your insurance status. The rest of the appointment should take about 90 minutes as we get to know you and your teeth.
- Take your dental and medical history.
- Make x-rays of your teeth (we offer digital x-rays).
- Complete a comprehensive tooth cleaning (if your gums need periodontal attention, we will schedule you to come back if necessary.)
Your teeth and gums will be examined by our doctor, who will also take any required notes. He will then discuss his findings and any potential future dental work with you.
If you need help filling out the forms, arrive 15-20 minutes early for your appointment and a member of our team will be happy to assist you!

We accept cash, EZ checks, and credit cards. We can help you apply for Care Credit, a financing option. We also accept most major insurance dental plans, including:

Keep in mind that dental "insurance" frequently only covers essential preventative care, and more treatment may need payment in full from the patient. We are here to assist you choose the best payment alternatives if you have any queries about coverage or the price of your care. We want all of our patients to receive the care they require.
Financial Planning
The majority of popular credit cards and insurance policies are accepted by Parkwood Family Dental. Also, we partner with CareCredit and iCreditWorks to offer patients who require major work or who lack dental insurance a financial choice.
You can always get assistance from our office staff with insurance claims and paperwork. In order to ensure that your insurance coverage satisfies your needs and your budget, we will submit claims on your behalf and communicate with your insurance company.
Please remember that you are fully responsible for all fees charged by our office regardless of your insurance coverage.
